Fusion 360 Academy 2019
If you’re even paying attention, you know that a few weeks ago was Autodesk’s first US Fusion 360 Academy. I was fortunate enough to get to travel out to sunny Portland Oregon (that doesn’t sound right) to check it out!
Overall, I have to say this event was pretty awesome! I got a ton of good stuff out of it, personally. Also, there were tons of opportunities to network, both with other Fusion 360 users and with the teams that work behind the scenes on the tools we use every day. I wasn’t jazzed about traveling out alone, but honestly it forced me to get out of my shell and meet new people. I want to share some of this experience with you! To do that I’m going to run a short blog series. I’ll be tackling a couple of the topics I learned about and posting some of the stuff I especially benefited from.

One of the coolest parts of the trip, what made it beyond just a normal user group meeting, was hanging out with the guys and girls that make it all happen. The Fusion 360 product development teams who are in the trenches working on the next big thing were there, sitting in the sessions along with us. To a question you would normally hear an answer like “well.. Fusion 360 can’t really do that....” instead here the answers were more like “actually.. we’re working on that for a future release this fall!” There is nowhere else you can go for that kind of direct interaction. It was great.
Here are some of the topics I hope to post about in the coming weeks:
